Fraudently clamped my car by taking dodgy pictures!

    Presumably the parking permit rules say that it has to be fixed to the windscreen, in which case they were right to clamp you.
  • As already suggested above, visit pepipoo and post. They know the law inside out on these things and have assisted many people succesfully defend themselves and take these people to task.

    no it doesnt say that. just says the permit must be visible, which it was. even if that was the case the clampers would not have felt the need to take pictures at dodgy angles, only to take a direct picture of the windscreen instead of down to top angles. also they would have clamped me in june onwards because i have never placed it in any other spot other than the area mentioned. thanks for your thought anyway.

    This is probably different - are you referring to council parking permits? There are no rules when it comes to private parking - only terms of the contract that both sides must agree to.
  • The clamping company is employed by the management firm whom I pay my service charge to (as I live in a flat). The clamping company is called Citywatch Parking Enforcement and their website is www.citywatchparking.com.
