Can I get a wickes kitchen any cheaper?

I am about to order a kitchen from Wickes, the Atlanta, which is currently 50% off for the units. We've had a design done which I'm happy with and the price is about £2k which isn't too bad. No appliances with this as I'm going to get them cheaper elsewhere.
I really, really like the square edged coco bolo laminate worktop they do, but it's about the most expensive laminate they do (£150/length and I need 2 lengths). Does anybody know if I can get this, or something similar elsewhere for cheaper? Sadly it's not included with the 50% off units
Also I would love to know what my chances are of haggling to see if I can get the price any lower? I am rubbish at that sort of thing so would like to know how to bring it up? Or is it not likely as it's a 50% sale anyway? Apparently we have to order it by Thursday to get those prices as the sale ends then - though I'm not convinced, there always seems to be a sale on.
Any money saved would be great as I only have a budget of £3k, but have to get appliances, tiles and flooring for that, as well as pay for an electrician and gas engineer :undecided Though we are going to fit the cupboards ourselves (might need to get someone in to cut the worktop though?)
Thanks for any advice!

Similar situation to us, I'm afraid I can't help with savings or haggling but regarding the sale the designer at our local Wickes said that they will extend the sale for another 4 weeks after Wednesday...0

I'm in the same position, I spoke to someone in B&Q and saw the leaflets from their head office that said the sale will be on still end of November0

Just looked at the Wickes website, to see the style of kitchen & your worktops, to compare with Ikea, but can only get tiny pics of the worktops.
I'm a big fan of Ikea kitchens, as you'll see in other posts, do forum search for kitchens, there's loads tips!
Also have a look at their ranges, though.Certainly the laminate is available square edge, curved, or metal trimmed. Plus they do a special order, for awkward shapes & sizes.
There's a drop down brochure from http://www.ikea.co.uk
As for haggling - B&Q & Homewbase & Wickes all seem to try & undercut each other, so it'd be worth getting a like for quote & then going to the one you want & telling them you need another 10% off, else you'll be shopping elsewhere!!

We have just arrived home from Wickes and did manage to get further discount by simply asking for it. We had done our home work and knew what similar kitchens from other suppliers are being offered for and also mentioned the 20% discount that they were running the other weekend, (this would not have got you any more money off the kitchen but would have from the work tops).
We also needed several other items (which they gave us discount from too) so go again with a list of anything else that you may need, paint, tiles etc and ask what they can do for you if you order there and then.
The discount we got from the kitchen is valid until Saturday but the discount that we got from the other items was only being offered if we ordered then and there.
And as for most sales, targets are always looming at the end of the month!
The planner we saw was extremely helpful and even offered advice that saved us money!
Hope this helps!0
