can i still go bankrupt
Comments
-
this is confusing me. if you had say 1500 cash in bank within the last two years would the aib not accept bankruptcy through LILA as you had more than 1000? do you have to prove that you've had less than 1000 for a certain amount of time?0
-
Have you checked the terms of your finance agreement? I can see the appeal of LILA's simplicity, but it still seems inflexible.0
-
Surely, if you own the car then you can sell it. Give the money to the loan company and your asset is gone0
-
sounds like that would work if acc in bankruptcy accept that as you cant be seen to be disposing of asset just to make yourself br. what if i only got say 1500 for it and give that to debt coll would aib think it was too little?0

Basically AFSIK it has to be under £1000 but as prices have fallen out 2nd hand market........

trade-ins generally get less not more....much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

No you are not as I did not have a clue what afaik meant either.
Dodo go to Parkers Guide and put in the car type year etc and see what that gives you as a price.
I agree with Lily this is very inflexible system, but I can also see why and the merits of it.
