Also don't forget you are building up a tax free pot of money which can be transfered to a better rate when things improve.
If you don't use it you lose it!

I was advised by some friends of mine to not invest in a Cash ISA

Is that paid for advice or down the pub advice?
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

I was advised by some friends of mine to not invest in a Cash ISA, the rates that Natwest give me are not that good to be honest, so any other ideas/advice?

What advice did they give about investing the £15,000 ?

They advised me into purchasing a property. Satating that in the long term I'd be in a stronger position owning that and would see a better return on capital. Although I'm not sure myself. Property Industry seems that the Property prices are going to fall another 8%.

I am no expert but personally I think they probably will fall a bit more and mortgages may get cheaper if banks/BS pass on the interest rate cuts - some predict that rates may go down further over next few months
    Keep the Faith:cool:

I got a pretty decent deal on mortgages at 2% over the base rate. Not sure if I want to invest my money there yet though.

Hmm...can any of you offer some more advice. I didn't open the ISA at that time, due to the reasons mentioned already.
