My daughters skin loves good old olive oil."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0

i did try that but it just sits on his skin rather than sink in, as he has quite a few dry scaly patches and the rest is quite dry( like me in winter) i want something that will absorb in to the skin, and i cant think of anything!!0

Oh right! I get you, yes it will provide a barrier rather than actually penetrate the skin.. Hmm.... I'll have a think about it, I have had eczema all my life, so I know what a pain dry skin can be."I did then, what I knew then. And when I knew better, I did better"0

My li'l one used to have ezcema. When he was tiny I used to put oats in a sock and tie it to the tap whilst the bath was running so that the water would soak the oats. That worked quite well, but a bit messy getting yucky oats out of the sock after! I also used some sort of oil (grapeseed, olive or whatever) every night too....he never smelled like baby.....just like a chip pan really!

Have you tried rubbing some into his skin after his bath? The reason i ask is because i have really dry legs that are terribly itchy and scaley if they aint moisturised on a regular basis. I add olive oil to the bath, and also a little bit neat on my legs after the bath. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. good old fashioned aqueous cream works well - we used it in combination with baby oil as a moisturiser after a bath. Didn't take long to sort out my son's dry arms. He has lovely skin now.3 kids(DS1 6 Nov, DS2 8 Feb, DS3 24 Dec) a hubby and two cats - I love to save every penny I can!

supple skin comes from what feeds it. Ie don`t avoid oils in the diet. Get a balance of omega 3 and omega 6
Too many people think that all oils are bad. We need oils to support cell regeneration
UDO`s oil is the best. Keep it in the fridge
also make sure baby is drinking enough0 -
Best advice is to consult your GP or local pharmacist. They can provide the correct treatment for your baby and offer natural advice as well.
