Please help me!!
Can someone tell me what cause of action a company can take if yo urefuse to pay for something?
In my instance my boiler went faulty and the local company that fitted it and the manufacturers came out several times, during the time we were waiting for a part to be fitted so it worked properly the installers came and did a service, they've charged me £57 for this and I'm refusing to pay due to the fact I don't see how they can service something that's not working, it is now though. Through all of this with them we've had realyl bad service from them. Last night I got a hand delivered letter that was dated over a week ago saying that I had to pay by 2pm today or they'd start legal action.
So my questions are, what can they do, and how would you suggest handling it?

Go and visit your trading standards or citizens advice office as soon as possible .
was it an annual service that you had signed up to ,even though it wasn't working I suspect you should of told them that they had to come back and do it when the other problems were fixed, but I'm sure something can be done about it ,check with trading standards first is my advice ,they can even help over the phone if you wish0
