Food Deals Around Alton Towers

Hi, we're coming down to Alton Towers on Tuesday and wonder if there are any vouchers/coupons for restaurant deals available near there? Cheers

I seem to recall that all you could get was chips, burgers, fried stuff..... yuk and especially horrible if then going on the rides. Do they sell better stuff now or can we take sandwiches and put them in a locker??

Hi Maggie,
You can definitely take your own food - there used to be lockers near the monorail station, but I have no idea if they're still there. If you're going by car, you could always leave the picnic in the car and send someone back for it.
They have a couple of decent-ish food outlets - the pub near the main entrance is ok, Courtyard BBQ by Mutiny Bay is alright, as is the Mexican place by the Log Flume, and the fish and chip place by Nemesis. They also have KFC, Pizza Hut and Burger King, and I think there's a Chinese-y type place somewhere too. It isn't too bad to be honest, I don't think, however, that you can use the usual Pizza Hut etc discount vouchers - if you had any you wanted to use, I'd definitely call and ask them first.

There are lockers, but I can't remember where. The staff will be able to tell you though. Picnics can also be left with guest services, I think it costs £4.

I noticed on our way out yesterday that the 'towers' restuarant near the entrance sells carvery meals discounted to £5 each after half 5 I think it was, and a family deal for £15. Might be nice for the evening meal. Alton is open until 9pm at the moment.

I asked reception for a list of takeaways in the area and they allowed delivery. I think there was an indian one nearest to the hotel and the prices were reasonable.
