Hi
I'm wanting to listen to radio1 online, but i can't for two reasons....
there is a surfguard (I'm @ work) and when I click on listen live, surfguard kicks in...
we don't have Windows media player here at work
is there any way I can listen to radio1 via another route?? I can watch/listen to things embedded in the webpages (usually)...
god I'm bored!!
If not radio1, anyone know of any more that i could listen to instead?
cheers
AG

You'll just have to take an old fashioned portable radio in to work.

You can buy a little personal radio thing in woolies for £1.99 in their xmas gifts section. Doesn't come with AAA batteries though.0

Not helping with your radio problem
But just to point out that you can easily listen to mp3 files without a media player.
http://del.icio.us/ is a place you can save online bookmarks to.
If you bookmark some audio files there (e.g. urls ending in .mp3) it puts a play icon next to your entry.
Look here where I tested it by bookmarking the mutterings url to delicious. Just click the little play button to play it directly.

wow! That's awesome!
It's amazing what you can find when you need it online! This work computer doesn't do pdfs and I found an online pdf viewer too... great stuff! Cheers sra!0 -

I have a solution for you. Dabs do a thing called a DVB-T USB Digital Antenna Stick
http://www.dabs.com/productview.aspx?Quicklinx=3S2L&SearchType=1&SearchTerms=usb+dvb+t&PageMode=3&SearchKey=All&SearchMode=All&NavigationKey=0
Stick it in, position the aerial, and you're got yourself a freeview decoder. Now, you have a choice of radio stations and tv stations. Obviously, this'll all depend on what sort of signal you can pick up and whether your corporate desktop will allow you to installed the necessary viewing software
Cheers

Yes, good find, but as you say, Admins are usually very tight on security so it is more than likely not possible to use this device. You could try, but you put yourself at risk of receiving a warning or losing your job because you might be breaking their code of conduct regarding the Computer systems.mapryan wrote:I have a solution for you.
