Hi Everyone,
Before I start I am not very computer literate but I wonder if any of the techie guys (or girls lol) can help me? I purchased an Acer aspire 5315 in July & am having loads of problems with the keyboard typing all over its self! I took it back to Comet in August & complained & they kept it over night, returned it to factory settings & gave it back! However its still the same & its driving me mad  When ever I get typing, email, letters, ebay etc unless I watch every letter I have to start over & over again!. Comet said that once its over 28 days after purchase its upto Acer to sort it out! Does anyone know if thats true or can I demand a new one? I have purchased it on a 9 months buy now pay later deal & I feel like just taking it back & telling them to keep it! How do I stand? I have had Acer laptops before & never had a problem.
Any help would be much appreciated

No it's not up to Acer to sort out. You bought it from Comet and your contract is with them. Many companies try to get out of their responsibility by making this 28 day claim.0

Hi Connor,
I thought this was the case but I didn't want to go in spouting something that wasn't true! I'm planning to take it back tomorrow & see if I can get it sorted out!
Regards

I had this problem on my 5720 i think, was the cursor jumping back through the text? I have sorted it with something on the Touchpad settings but Acer talked me thought it. Acer are very good for customer service I have found if they can't sort it over the phone they will send a courier to pick it up and deliver it back to you also, they have been very helpful whenever I have had any problems so maybe give them a ring and see what they say.0

have you tried downloading the latest driver for your touchpad? I have an acer and sometimes it loses it's scroll function. If i update the driver it goes back to normal. My touchpad is a synaptics one, they have drivers on their website."a workman, even of the lowest and poorest order, if he is frugal and industrious, may enjoy a greater share of the necessaries and conveniences of life than it is possible for any savage to acquire."0
