I know that there's two schools of thoughts on CCAs and F&Fs, and personally I sit on the fence, but please don't shout down a Newbie. He was only asking a question that has been asked before. He will not be the first or last to do this.
Sammy, his first post was to the tune of having a £6k Barclaycard debt that he has the cash to pay off but doesn't want to so wants to threaten barclaycard with telling them he will go bankrupt if they don't accept a F&F!!!, personally I find that insulting when I am trying hard to pay back every penny of the debt I owe, but then I can get my hands on £10k tomorrow so shall I just phone up all my creditors and ask if they will accept that as a F&F and shall I go bankrupt? whaddayathink????Aug GC £63.23/£200, Total Savings £00 -

Well if he's straight in the first post without conjuring up some jackanory story then you'll find people will be a bit more responsive.0 -
Hi Guys, I agree that his first post was rather naive and "showy". And if he did it for a response it worked lol. But he seemed to open up in his second post, so I thought it best to give him the benefit of the doubt.
He hasn't really expanded on the details ie what apr he's on or where he's got the cash from, so I like to take the view of innocent until proven guilty!
Some of us have been in debt before and know how unnerving it is to disclose too much info, so maybe he didn't want to expand too much for fear of embarrassment.
I've worked off my !!!! off to pay off my debts, so can understand how situations can get people's backs up, but I just like people to be given a fair hearing.
I'd be a rubbish lawyer lol0 -

the only reason i wrote the last message was to provoke a response.
I do have a genuine problem with a credit repayments that i would like to resolve as fairly and as morely correct as possible i do not have the cash to pay in full ( wish i did) i would just like the correct advice to the best way to resolve this problem before my financial situation goes into decline.
A little while ago we had a visit from a guy who started off about the unemployment situation and then went on to say he represented some religious organization. I questioned him why he mentioned the umemployment problem and he said like you to provoke a response.
Wasnt you by any chance?0
