Google Mail for domains?

Hi,
Has anyone ever used Google Mail for their own domain? I'm not even sure if it works in the UK, but it looks like it might solve my problem.
I currently have a domain which forwards everything to my GMail account, but when I send from it I have set GMail to send the mail as jonny@[mydomain], but when you look at the headers of an email I've sent, it always says:
From: jonny@[mydomain]
Sender: gmail.com
I think that is confusing some spam filters, and I suspect some of my messages are getting blocked. I presume if I used Google Mail Apps registered to my domain, it would keep my domain as the sender.
I'm thinking of trying it, but as it would involve changing DNS MX records I think I'd rather buy a new domain to try it with in case it breaks my email for a while!
Does anyone have any experience with this?
Thanks,
Jonny

I have it for my site - works really well.
The help files show how to "authenticate" the domain and change your MX records and I found them a doddle to follow (as I use freeparking.co.uk for my DNS). Mail was going via GMail in about an hour and I was up and running properly within 2.
Hope that helps.43580 -
Excellent - I've set it up now.
In case anyone else reads this with a similar problem, I was using Fasthosts, and they don't seem to support all the required DNS controls. I ended up transferring the domain to 123-reg, which was much easier to set everything up with.
Thanks Hazzanet!
