couple of queries.. thanks and page numbers(?)

sorry, couldnt think of a more suitable title!

not sure if its my new laptop but everytime I thank someone or click to look at who has thanked me my page refreshes and skips back up to the top so have constantly got to scroll back down to where I was... not a major problem, but a bit tiresome if you want to thank a few people at the same time... any suggestions?

also, you used to be able to see what page you had posted/read up to on long threads as the page number was a darker colour for those you had read and those not.... was quite useful.. are there any shortcuts to find out where you last read up to on a thread?
