Hi everyone,
All the way up till now - I have been using AVG 7.5 with no problems at all. Last 2 days, I haven't been able to update - although AVG keeps telling me there is a priority update now ready to download.
When I do try to update, I get a windows error message saying:
AVG Update downloader has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.
So then it automatically shuts down the update. What do I do now? AVG is my main anti-virus protection
many thanks in advance

Personally, i always found 7.5 to be a pig of a thing, on all five of our computers. Uninstall it, and download version 8 instead.
It cures a multitude of problems like the updates not downloading.0 -
Theyre due to completely end updates at the end of the year anyways, so I would also advise the upgrade:idea:0

ok guys thanks for the heads-up however is version 8 just as good - or is it a resource hogger etc?0

If your computers slow to begin with, Id suggest AVAST or AVIRA (I use avira personally as it has the best detection updates)
If the computers fast - then AVG8 is fine:idea:0 -
