Hi
The recent massive increase in our heating gas prices has been solely because the EU established a connection between the price of heating gas and the price of oil per barrel, even though there is no is no actual connection between these two. As some electricity is also produced from gas this has affected our electric bills also.
It becomes imperative that this connection be broken so we are not burdened in this absurd way.
Because of this I applied for acceptance of a petition to the PM in this regard and it has been accepted for signing.

I think Canute had same sort of problem, tides linked to moon
Your petition whilst in good spirit has zero chance of success, even if GB was to push as hard as he could the link is there, like it or lump it as they say
The root cause was the Tories selling off our North Sea gas to all and sundry instead of keeping it as a UK nationalised asset
That horse has long since boltedEight out of ten owners who expressed a preference said their cats preferred other peoples gardens0 -
The EU didn't establish any link between the price of oil and the price of gas - they are both sources of energy, if the price of one goes up , people will buy the other forcing the price of that one up as well - coal has gone up too!
Do you really think that the nasty Tories are to blame for "selling" off our "gas assets". I suppose you think that if they hadn't committed this evil deed we would be paying a halfpenny a kWh for our gas whilst the rest of the planet was paying through the nose for theirs.
If any Government tried that, the commercial companies would take their gas rigs elsewhere - we would have lots of gas - still in the ground !0
