cheques not been cashed on mine yet, so 15 days since application so far (and cheque and paperform were sent back on the 18th), sainsburys one was a darn site easier and quicker to open than this one, if i dont hear from them by the weekend, i may give them a ring, anyone else still waiting

  • I have just looked at my bank statement and my deposit was taken out yesterday as well. I think this is a very long-winded process.
  • They must all use the same process (probably off shored in India)
I applied for a A&L esaver account at the begining of Oct. Received a conformation letter on the 6th and my PIN number on the 7th. In the letter on the 7th they said "use this pin number with the Customer ID number we sent you earlier" but I have since found out that these letters always arrive out of synch. and todate I still haven't received my Customer ID !!

So I cannot put any funds in the account !
I'm expecting the next letter to say "because you have not activated your account within the specified period it as lapsed" :rotfl:

    .
  • I received a letter from Tesco to say that my account is now open, but, I can't use it yet because I have to send my signature back and get another code off them.
At this rate I will only get 10 month at the 6.5% rate.

so they havent even advised the sort code or account number so you can pay into it?? god this gets worse, besides, i could swear that i had to sign part of the other form that was sent with the cheque! (would love to know how they can accept the cheque without knowing if the signature was forged lol,) not to mention if you send the direct debit and standing order forms with the cheque they also have signature on that as well!

god knows why Tesco make it so complicated, i applied for the sainsburys online saving account the same day and have had access to that for 2 weeks, plus i opened the new natwest isa and applied to transfer the isa, and whilst the isa transfer is still being processed, i had the sort code and account number instantly and automatically showed up on my online account in 24 hours of opening.
