Hi
Moving is a pain I know just done it. If the house has already been reduced by £34k, then it means he was struggling to sell....why? that would be my question.
Also if your house was valued in Jan, I would think there is a good chance it is no worth less.
Personally I would get a valuation from an agent, maybe the one the other place is with. When you have that make sure you can get the finance you need. Don't jump in, in this market plenty of time.Be-littling somebody only make's you look a bully.Any comments I make on here are my opinions, having worked in the lettings industry, and through life.0 -
Extension possible?? It'll cost you several thousand to move. Why not spend the money on a bit of building work instead?0

Hiya everyone,
Thanks so much for the replies I needed them to bring me back down to earth:o . We have an appointment to discuss a mortgage on Friday, I know everyone is right about not rushing into things so I am going to leave it to fate,if we get it we get it, if we dont - we're not meant to have it. Im going to arrange for some agents to come round to give us an idea of the current value of ours.
I think our house is worth around 100k , a friend suggested if the EA agreed with this, we put ours on the market for 110k and offer 10k cash back to entice more ftbs - do you think this is a good idea?
Thanks again for knocking some sense into me. Quincy xx0 -
Enticing FTB's with this idea is almost a total waste of effort. The only ones it will entice will have no deposit which will mean that if they rely on your offer, the banks will see through them and they won't get a mortgage.Quincy2104 wrote: »... Better to drop the £10k - cash back will confuse first time buyers and also as incisor says will be looked upon with some disdain by banks and building soicieties.0

Most FTBs now will be more savvy than they were. Don't try and outwit them, they have the trump card.0
