Hi,
My DS has just turned 3 at the end of September so just missed out on full time nursery. I was just wondering how and when do I need to apply to get him in full time???

First look around your local area, there may be a nursery that has a place (assuming you are refering to the 15 hours free).
Re schools local authorities are different, go online to your local authority & see what the 2009 admission policy is (DD is 4 a week today so a year ahead of your DS at school) & we have just applied online for our top 3 schools in the area (& ranked tham with reasons) we have until mid Nov to change our minds then in Jan we will find out which school she has been allocated for Sept 2009. They do not guarantee it will be any of our prefered schools!
Good luck

My son was also 3 at end of Sept. Are you referring to pre school? My son won't be accepted for nursery at a school until Sept 2009 as we had to fill in the application form for our top preferences.
If it's pre school you are on about then they may have spaces for later on in the year. We won't get it free until January as the funding doesn't start til the term after they are 3.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Here you'd be applying for a place in a school nursery now for next September. However if there were spaces you'd get in in January. Then autumn next year you would be applying for a reception place. Check your council's website to see how it works in your area.0
