in Techie Stuff
when I was on the desk top all the icon letters changed colour from blue background to white, I have tried and looked but can't get them back to blue, any ideas?

The icon font and background colour is related to the wallpaper or desktop colour selected. If you have changed those, then alter the settings back to the original.
If you have made no changes that may account for this, then see if there is a suitable system restore point available prior to this problem. If you use this option, ensure you do not lose any Windows updates.
Otherwise, you will have to alter the settings manually.
