Hi,
I've just done a check on moneysupermarket and I got:
Estimated Annual Saving:
£1,219.24
with:
N Power Sign Online 13 - Standard
Surely a saving this big is crazy, have I done everything right.
Current Plan
Gas: Scottish Power
Package : Weekly Payments
£60.50 per week
Electricity: E:ON
Package: ???? (No Standing Charge Plan??)
£39.50 Fortnightly
On Money supermarket I entered the weekly price paid, is this the best way to compare, or is there an easier way?

Your current usage is HUGE! Are you sure the amounts you have said are correct? Can you find out your current prices in pence per unit and the prices for the tariff you'd be switching to?0
-
If you want to get accurate results from comparison sites, forget the monetary amounts and enter your annual kWh consumption!

If you have a very high or a very low consumption a 30% saving is not remarkable.
Differences in tier 2 prices do vary widely. British Gas is 25% dearer for gas than nPower but is 35% cheaper for electricity.
(But note that your second post suggests £20 per week, not £60 for gas.)0 -
£60 a week!!!!!! how? what do you live in ???an 8 bed shed with no walls????TO FINISH LAST, FIRST YOU HAVE TO FINISH....0

The estimated gas charges from the current supplier (23/08/09 to 21/08/09) are:
£2,588.31 inc VAT0 -
You should maximise your savings by taking single fuels from different suppliers.
(And post/work with your estimated consumptions, not your charges - your useage is so high just working with the costs will distort things too much (given the wide variation in tier 2 prices).)0 -
