HSBC are going to give 5 pence to children in need for every time you top up your mobile phone card from a cash machine. How do you do that?

If you've used a cashpoint recently, you'll notice that many of them now give an option for topping up your mobile as well as Cash, Services, Balance etc.

I think you just type in the phone number when prompted. May have to confirm it. I think I've done it once ...

Put your card into an HSBC cash machine and after you've typed in your PIN, one of the options should be mobile top-up. You type in your mobile number - twice, to make sure it's right! - and choose the amount you want to top up. This is then debited from your bank account.
