Do you know of a product i can use on my leather sofa it's about a year old but it's an untreated leather sofa. I use leather wipes which cleans in but doesnt offer any protection what can i use that will over time put a barrier type seal on it. I wish i had of got a shiny leather instead.

Clio - I dont even use leather wipes on mine, my sofa is also a matt leather one:D The only thing that I can think of is Neats Foot Oil but that stinks to high heaven and its the sort of thing I used to clean my biking leather jacket with. Or you could try common or garden saddle soap.

Is it kinda suedey? Have no idea what Nubuck is to be honest.

A trip to the Oldstylers might help as they know all about these things.

BTW numpty baby oil is good for cleaning stainless steel and getting finger marks off brass:D

It is true - I used to work for cleaning services at the uni of birmingham and all our cleaners swore by baby oil for getting sticky paw prints off all the brass fingerplates on all the doors. We used to order it by the crate:eek:
