    I revieved a PM from a new user who joined up yesterday, i got it 1st thing this morning due to going offline
    early last night, I've been mulling it over before posting today.

    " It said although i have not said anything wrong or bad etc but i should refrain from talking about buying takaways/watches as this is the DFW part of the forum and it's not appropriate for me to mention spend/spend/
    spend all of the time. I did not mean any harm it was maybes wrong to go on about myself and buying this-that
    when people are cutting back on their spending ".

    So whoever it is that sent me the PM.
    There was no need to hide behind a new username a quick post would of been enough.

    Ok this is the DFW board & many here are trying to get out of debt by various means BUT that doesnt mean that you are & frankly there are people who spend money on far more ridiculous things in my opinion.

    Since my lbm I've bought a new tv (could have used freecycle), fridgefreezer (could have used freecycle) clothes, shoes & accessories & fabby stuff for the home (could have just NOT :rolleyes: ) so there.

    *climbs down off the soapbox :o *

    I am probably going to ruffle a few feathers here - Clio I see absolutely nothing wrong with the content of your 'takeaway/watches' posts. There must be hundreds of forum members who are in a good financial position,[no doubt enhanced by MSE] and who are not DFWs, making posts to all number of threads.

    The p.m. you got was possibly generated by a touch of envy and appears to be oversensitive and over-reactive. Perhaps someone feeling 'crunched' or having money difficulties.

    DFWs cannot go through life unexposed to the lifestyle of others. It's a bit like someone on a diet asking the world not to eat/mention/advertise food. It won't help them lose weight, only they can fix it.

    As far as I'm concerned, you continue posting about KFC and MacD's, porky boy!:rotfl:
