Would a wireless N laptop work with a B/G router?

Looking to get a new laptop and just wondered if a draft N wireless laptop would work with my current B/G wireless router.

Yes it should. Wireless N cards are almost always backwards compatible with the previous standards, shouldn't have a problem with it.

I think the fact it says wireless N confuses people in regards to the OPs question unless of course it says that its compatible with wireless g

Depends on the wireless card.

Most wireless cards also back compatible. i.e. my g one is - a/b/g, the N draft I was looking at for upgrading is b/g/n
