Cheap rail fare from Glasgow to york, please

hi there.

My daughter would like to visit us in November. I have searched for a cheap return and the cheapest using a 16-25 rail card is £42.60

Glasgow Central to York (after 13-00) 10th november

return

York to Glasgow Central (after 13-00) 16th november

does anyone know if i can get this any cheaper.

i have tried this but i get a advanced single for £38 but what about the return journey, 1 single is £38 i understand that but what about the return journey.

i get a single each way for £19.15

ie.. for both legs of the journey
