Hi CMD feel quite confident about tomorrow - poss because I'm not that bothered if I get it as I am still hoping I get the perm job I'm at stage 4 on! Sometimes when I am less anxious about it I do a better. It is a day rate job and I will be able to claim back expenses off my tax which would be good. Potentially I could get 2 weeks in before my holiday in Cornwall which would be fab and mean I could top up our savings again or clear off more debt depending on which seems the best at the time! Could be a bit of travel with the job so could be difficult when kids back at school but needs must and all that... It is a 4 month job initially so that would almost see us thro to xmas if I got it....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

If I got the perm one it would be great such a weight off - we could go back to paying off at least £1K a month then which would be fab! Don't feel I can add figures to my paperhat challenge at the mo as it would be double counting! 1k a month would be brilliant. If OH got a job (full-time) we would be able to pay something similar and save some money as well. It's so quiet in his area at the moment but hopefully something will come upTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I've just been put forward for a 6 month job as well a bit of a trek but okish money..... Better than nothing.... Could be poss of perm long term....
Hope your OH gets sorted soon. I am trying to make the most of this time with the kids at the mo so I'm finding it a little easier being out of work while the kids are off than when they were in school....Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

Yeah, it must be nice to have some time with the children. They probably love having you around!
