Afternoon all! How's everyone doing now that we've had another payday?
TMD - happy belated birthday. 40's the new 30, didn't you know?
Doodledoo - impressive total there!
CMD - I share your holiday cravings. I'm thinking of putting all my dooyoo money towards a holiday for me and OH so I get it free - or at least money neutral. Only prob is, I'm thinking New York (we've never been to America), so would have to review everything I own. How's the walking going by the way? I've lost a bit of weight this month - have walked about 100 miles in Feb (according to my trusty pedometer). Not bursting out of my work trousers any more at least.
CAFC - Rome? Alright for some. How did your MSE spending go? And where's that whip? Let's get cracking and get motivated - it's a new month, nearly a new season and I've heard paper hats are going to be essential wear this summer :rotfl:.

Doodledo - bloody hell, that is some payment :T :T Well done on skipping ahead in the challenge.
I have yet to work out whether I can make it sub £20k this month (not a snowballs chance of hitting £5k yet though, that will (hopefully) be next month's delight.
Right, off to check banking to see what shape I am in.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

the mse spending went pretty darn well actually and I was very impressed wit DH for sniffing out some bargains..... I managed to get some really good finds in b&q for our present drawer so we're pretty much 75% done for xmas and bday presents for the year! And its only 1st March,so thats good.
Ive been so pap with making any debt payments though but this months will all start clearing 2moro so lots of siggy updating I hope...
Also my food spending is atrocious of late, with no taking in lunch to work I've been a real sucker for convenience and been paying through the nose for it but now i feel like ive settled down into more of a routine, it should be a lot better, as Im more organise.
Given myself a new target of not spending more than £175 from March 1st to April 1st in Asda/on food..... its currently seeing so much of my money, darting in on way home from work etc for stuff for lunches at work......and then there have been a few too many takeaways lately, Im ashamed to say!
So no more, i'll see that as my challenge for lent!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Gah, accounts haven't updated
Although I am pleased report that all holiday related stuff on my spending credit card has been cleared and I didn't incur a penny of interest :T
(But I did accidentally spend £60 in IKEA today. I blame OH who was the one that wanted to go.£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)

OH got me a hot dog
oh the romance
Mind you I then had to do DIY for him when we got back - my hair is full of brick dust.
CAFC - lunches are a !!!!!! aren't they? That is an area that I slip up on easier than the others (even easier than clothes and IKEA) and some weeks find myself spending stupid amounts on going out for lunch with friends or on pre-packed sarnies. I need to get a grip back on mine again too - maybe it is that time of year...£34,547 (Dec 07); Current debt: £zilch (Debt free December 2010)
