It sounds like your new job is going to be lovely though so at least you have that to look forward to! It's always a bit of a shock when you realise that you are only a number in a job. At least you can be proud that you have worked really hard and if the shop is closing down it is nothing to do with you.

again very true and good points....
new job sounds like it could be a real opportunity to achieve something in life, and work in something so much bigger than the general retail sales.
Its literally a "movement" around the world, and I'm right there in the thick of it and really want to achieve....

Its just my previous job seems to have ended in a really bad way..... im a bit sad over how some of my team were.... and im just going to miss having them in my life, esp since they were around when so many big things have happened to me.....

but its a new challenge, and a new way of thinking...

  • Exactly, and I'm sure the nicer people in your job will remain friends. I have never been through redundancy but I'm sure some people are very worried about their finances and that is why it might not have ended as well as you wanted.

HI all - hope CAFCgirl that your new job turns out great. I've not got an interview anywhere yet - not impatient much. I have updated my CV a bit more based on feedback from the agency. I've got 2 months left to find a job in so here's hoping... I am a manager and do a specialist role...

get paid soon though so should be able to update my sig again soon. Planning to pay off one of my smaller credit cards off over the next 2 months which will then just leave 2 credit cards left...

Good luck withe the debt busting everyone. Re council tax - we will use it towards car insurance - oh's was due this month - mine is due in March... and I need to pay £275 to a holiday by March - we will get it back later in the year but have to pay up front...

Sounds like some fab work on ebay going on. and impressed with debt payments this late in the month.

SH - you're making me feel guilty for wanting to fritter away my CT :o But thank you for making me think I'm about due to service my car so I could put the cash towards that.

CAFC, your new job seems like a fab opportunity for a complete change. Its a shame its come about because of a horrible end to the old one. I know this issues with OH - have you been doing the focus on your own debt plan?
How is the the lovely Gordon? Is he growing before your eyes?

Now I know I was supposed to be doing a store cupboard / freezer challenge for the rest of the month but.... its cold, wet and miserable here and I want spicy sausage casserole for dinner. But theres no sausages anywhere in my house. So hope you'll all forgive me for buying a packet. I will be using tins of beans and toms from cupboard :A
