    Evening all!

I now have only one cling filmed finger - I tried to warm up some coffee in the microwave and burnt my fingers on the cup. Now have a blister nearly all the way down the back of my ring finger

Couldn't possible do any sorting or filing but happy to cheer others on. My paperworks not too bad but have a huge pile of clean clothes that need hanging up, putting in drawers etc that are heaped on my spare bed. Then a few boxes of stuff never unpacked since I moved here 9 months ago - so need to sort out what I really need to keep.

I need to file all my paperwork as well and also make sure that my snowball is 100% up to date.

Balls - I haven't updated my snowball for months - must do that too!! I just have to find and calculate all my interest payments....

Shelley - glad that the fingers are starting to recover, the ring one sounds OUCH though - whenever I burn myself I end up poking it all the time to *see* if it still hurts. It always does.

I'm tempted to sterilise a needle and burst the blister in a controlled way otherwise it'll probably burst unexpectedly and painfully during the night. I can seem to stop giving it a prod.

  • I love popping blisters - I always do it when I get one :o

CAFC - I just saw on your diary what a nightmare you had with your interview yesterday, good luck for tomorrow.

Slightly randomly - Have you also checked the NHS Jobs website for other admin roles in healthcare?? From what you have said it sounds like you might also be suitable for project officer or development officer type roles too which sometimes pay a bit more than ones badged as admin and also can pave the way for moving up the pay scale fairly quickly

The brilliant thing about the public sector is that they should count experience as being as good as a degree (we certainly considered some non-graduates in our graduate training programme in my last job)

I'll keep my eye out for some posts if you give me the rough boundary of where you could travel to

The other way to get into it is to find out which agencies your local NHS uses and then speak to them. The PCT I work in has an agreement with a temping agency that we will go to them first for all interim support. A lot of interim support then become permanent after a while and once you have proven you can do the job they often will develop a job spec that specifically will allow you to qualify if you are interested int he job.
