Oh dear, I dont think my reviews are coming across as very useful.
Had a msg from someone on dooyoo as well asking me why I only gave him a useful and everyone else said very useful.
Must develop a thick skin for this dooyoo malarky I think.
OK all my receipts are together in an envelope. Im on 9 reviews now so need to do 2 more today at least. Should be done by mid afternoon on that as OH and I are going out in a bit, found out yesterday I need a new pair of work trousers as mine have developed a holeWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Afternoon everyone!
How are we today?
I only managed to do 4 reviews yesterday so I am going to try to get 6 more done today. I agree with not rating eachother's reviews as much, we don't want to get kicked off dooyoo or get this thread closed down!
I have just found a statement of an old bank account which I have got, only got about £5 in there but I am going to close it tomorrow and put the money towards one of my debts. Just worked out that I need to find an additional £368 per month to get cleared off my Xmas 09!!! Eeek!!First to £15k hat challenge!Debt £14,393 / £10.49Savings £607 / £0That hat is mine!!!0 -
well anyway, xmas 09 was just a fairytale date, its the first one to clear the 15k who gets the hat!
9 reviews for me and currently on 5550 miles.
Found some dollars in one of my many (empty) money pots so I'm going to get that changed back into £'s and pay that off as well.
Payday is on friday for me so I'm going pay £50 off one credit card and another £30 off another, as well as my normal payments.
OH should also have got some overtime payments as well so we're going to use that as an overpayment but I want to wait till everything has cleared from our debt account before I pay that, as I dont want to accrue any charges by being a bit over optimistic!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -

I have some US dollars somewhere which were left over from my Hawaiian holiday in 2003, will dig them out if I can remember where they are, think they are down the Annex with my jewellery (only cheap stuff nothing expensive unfortunately), probably only a couple of quid but better than nothing.
Only done 1 Dooyoo review will do some more later.
CAFCGirl - blimey what did you think when you got a message from someone asking why you only gave a Useful rating? The person obviously has nothing better to do!Sealed Pot Challenge #0160 -
to be honest I wasnt really sure what to think. he obviously takes what he does very seriously and he wasnt rude about it, he just asked why I felt it was only useful when everyone else had very useful and it was crowned (whatever that means!)
I did feel bad after re-reading it because it was a really good review but I thought "thats useful" I didnt think OH MY GOD that answers everything Ive ever wanted to know.
Fair enough to him for asking and I did tell him why....
Could have been worse! LOL
i think our dollars amount to about £10 but hey its all money off the debt etc.
Ive done my 5 for today so feel pretty chuffed with myself, am knackered now though!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
I've now done a whole 3! 1 on Virgin Vie lip gloss, 1 on my Sony Erriccson 800i phone and 1 on some Femme perfume I bought last year! In principle I think it is doable - writing reviews but I struggle to find even 150 words to say never mind the essays some people write! I do find it amazing that you can pick almost any product to write about and potentially get paid for it. You wonder how anyone makes money - on the phone review I wrote they already had 50 other reviewers???
The biggest positive in writing the reviews is it stopped me going shopping and I'm going to finally have my second NSD of the month!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

YAY! Well done Holmes.
I definitely found some things were a lot easier to write about than others.
I've reviewed Frazzle crisps LOL.... so yes you can write a review on pretty much anything! I read one about Tesco value chocolate.
DH has got te Grand Prix on and im now up to 14 reviews in total, and I think Im gonna take some time off, its quite addictive watching the dooyoo miles add up.
Im just going through all my accounts online and making sure my snowball is up to date, and looking to see if there is a magic £100 somewhere that I can pay off... alas not found it yet!Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Well done CAFC 14 reviews is fab.
Has anyone actually heard of anyone being paid out from this site?? All new to me so haven't seen anyone mention it yet.Proud to be dealing with my debts - DFW No: 712

A lot of people mention dooyoo on the £10 a day challenge and in other areas of the site:p . You do need to make sure you abide by the rules or they will cancel your account... from what I've read. I think a whole thread got deleted earlier in the year allegedly to help prevent such consequences;) !
I suppose I should actually go and sort some washing so we all have something to wear this next week!Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030
