bought a link - no not me

Some bird at work has managed to buy a link for an IPOD for £50.
She's new to Ebay and didn't realise.

Is she able to get her money back as she paid through Paypal and if so... how?

Quick replies please cos she's pretty tasty and i might get some brownie points.

If the auction stated she was buying a link she will have difficulty getting any help from either ebay or paypal. However, there is an outside chance if she acts mega quick.

Start a Paypal chargeback but on the basis that the item was not received. It is up to the seller to prove delivery of an auction win and i'm not sure if he can do that with a link. It is a bit sneaky, and it might not work but it has to be worth a try.

The paypal terms and conditions are quite clear on proof of delivery and they usually only accept a notification via the RM or courier company showing that the item was signed for at its destination.

Obviously this can't cover something that was e mailed, which is why I suggested trying a sneaky claim for non delivery.

Otherwise I'm afraid she's stuck with her purchase.
