hi,hope someone can shed some light on this for me.six weeks loss adjustor came inspected, aand as yet no word on the claim being sorted. they won't let me get the work done, its getting worse daily.
their incompetance is unbelievable, they don't communicate with me or each other.if you ask to speak to them, they're out of the office, they don't reply to emails, phone calls.they say they havn't received things, when they have.if you ask to speak to manager, shes' out too.
has anyone experienced this sort of problem and how did it get resolved.any suggestions as to what to do next:mad:

Go over their heads and speak to your insurance company. The last thing they want to hear is that the cost of the claim is going to increase because of the Loss Adjuster 's incompetence.
They can't stop you getting the work done (whatever the work is - you haven't said). Assuming it's your property, there's no reason why you shouldn't go ahead. If it's a household claim, it's a requirement of the policy that you maintain the property in good condition.0 -
Go straight to your insurers right now. Tell them that the situation is getting worse and that you need their authority to go ahead and have essential work done to mitigate your losses (basically stop it getting worse and making them pay out more.)
You can go ahead and get work done without your insurance company's OK, but then they may well expect you to pay for it up front, and then make you wait until they decide they are going to pay for it. If you get their OK in advance, they should pay up straight away, and you may well be able to get any repair bills sent straight in to the insurance company, without your even seeing them.
Once you have got that sorted, then start a big moan about the loss adjuster; they are acting on the insurance company's behalf, and you should expect the same level of service that you would from your Insurer.
