Just for info.
The pic is from the kenwood site although it is not clearly stated how they back up their claim of 35% saving of energy. I would have expected a comparison with another product either a rivals or one of their own range.Give me life, give me love, give me peace on earth.0 -
you could boil water with one tea light candle but its much easier with 1000.
all fast boil and power showers etc etc do is use more energy quicker..
IE
running out of fuel do you put your foot down and get there quicker or slow down use less petrol but tkae longer...
as others have said use less water or only the water you need
Yes, I've always boiled just the minimum needed, in fact before kettles came with those see through gauges on the side I used to fill it using the cups we'd be drinking from.moonrakerz wrote: »No it's not - it is complete B*****t !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I agree - good to have it confirmed thanks.

Well it's advertising isn't it - they just try to draw the consumer in by claiming it is energy saving and let our consciences do the rest.
Once again thanks for the explanations and for saving me the expense of buying a new kettle - I will stick with my cheap replacement that I initially just bought as a stop-gap.Some people hear voices, some see invisible people. Others have no imagination whatsoever
