Question re website

Has anyone heard of the Freebie Jeebies site? I did a search in the form and couldn't find anything.

I recently requested something on Freecycle and the lady who responded said the item had gone but referred me to this site. Thought I would get some opinions before actually looking myself being a bit skeptical about scams etc.

first of all what ever the lady was giving away wasnt there in the first place as all she wanted was to plug this site.. its Its happened on our local freecyle as well. offering computer games/cosoles knowing that lots of people will reply and they say its gone but you can get one on and they send you a link.. its normally some kind of referal scheme like a pyramid scheme

The whole system depends on referring friends,


so no dont bother with it

Thanks for this. Did sound a bit dodgy but thought I would check before using it. I'm not sure how freecycle works in regards to reporting "spammers" so will look into this.

just send a email to your local group if your on moderation it will go through to them if your not on moderation email the owner you can do this through your group

Free jeebies is another pyramid scam stay clear you wont find anything because they get removed quickly

Please DON'T send the e-mail to your group - report/forward it to the MODERATORs. You can find their e-mail address on the group home page, at the bottom, it's the list owner address. We mods need to know which member the original e-mail came from so that we can ban them, so please try and include the headers too (some spammers forge other members' e-mail details, mods can see this from reading the headers).
