Switching Advice, Not sure about what Martin says anymore?

Having switched and fixed my dual fuel a month or so ago on eon as per MSE advice at the time, I am now in the position that I am not so sure I should have done. Most providers have indeed raised prices but I THINK that my previous supplier BG on Click 5, has not, and now wholesale prices are supposed to be falling.
Now I don't like Martin being knocked on the Icesave debacle but I do wonder if here he might have made some mistakes on utilities.

BG raised the prices on click energy 5 a few weeks ago by about 25 to 30 %.
They then released a product called click energy 6 which is cheaper than click energy 5 is now.
As for the choice to fix or not - well thats a personal one on how you see gas energy prices behaving in the future.

I'm glad I listened as my supplier Southern electric put their prices up by 30% a couple of weeks after I fixed with Scottish power. It is only till the end of next year so I can always reassess then though. In the end it is only advise and everyone is ultimately responsible for their own decision

I've always advised people to take Martin's advice with a pinch of salt, and will continue to do so.Everybody is equal; However some are more equal than others.0

I can switch anytime, I will stick for now but am watching the situation.
I do think the change in the world situation is unprecendented and we cannot blame Martin for that but I think his current switch advice needs taking with a pinch of salt.0 -

lol, I WAS with Scottish Power, but changed to Southern electric about two and a half months ago, and have found them to be AT LEAST £50 a month cheaper for G+E combined.
