Which credit card for MBNA?

Hi,
I wondered if someone could offer me some advice please. I have a balance of £1800 on an MBNA credit card and would like to transfer it to a 0% card for as long as possible.
Recently I obtained a Halifax credit card but they would not accept balance transfers from MBNA for some reason. Would someone be able to point me in the direction of a credit card which would accept a transfer from MBNA please?
I already have an Egg card and a Barclaycard, so I guess I can't get another of these!
Thank you.

Wierd - I'm sure you can do transfers from MBNA to halifax.
Why not call Halifax and ask them if they will do a transfer from Egg. Then simply go online at Egg and do an online balance transfer from MBNA (if your credit limit will stand it). You may end up paying interest for a few days while the transfer is happening - but can't see why this wouldn't work if Halifax are insistent.
R.Smile, it makes people wonder what you have been up to.

Hi,
Thanks this is a good suggestion, but I was hoping to get 0%, which I wouldn't currently get if I transferred onto Egg.
I too thought that Halifax would accept from MBNA as they aren't partners or anything, so was surprised when they told me they wouldn't. I wonder if it's MBNA somehow being difficult rather than Halifax. (We had disagreements about Direct Debits and late payments and things).
Who are the 'sister' companies that are associated with MBNA? Does anyone know? Maybe I can just avoid applying for them.0 -

Well, I mean at the moment I am paying about 16% interest or something similar on the MBNA card, if I were to transfer onto Egg then I would be paying around 15% interest (or whatever it is now). I wanted to transfer to a card with 0% interest, so obviously everything I pay will be coming off the amount I owe.
Thanks for the stoozing link. I think maybe it is a Lloyds TSB card to go for then.0 -
