This is a do-it-yourself test for paranoia: you know you've got it when you can't think of anything that's your fault.

  • We just got a couple in Woolies for buy one, get one half price. Know what you mean about how little use they get - my tactic is to buy them big enough to last a couple of years.

I bought a wizard costume for my wee boy out of Sainsbury's last year and it was either the day of Halloween or the day before. They'd discounted some of the outfits and I ended up getting it for less than 2 quid. I'd go in the week before Halloween and see , all depends if the outfit your son wants sells out quick I suppose but you might be lucky - I was last year.

Or you could make your own costume for him - I've made ones before for nursery parties. We all had home made ones in the 70s! Few boxes/lids/bit of tin foil and some paint - then you have a robot - my son loved it.

sainsburys reduced theirs on the day of hallowe'en but then I suppose there's a risk they may have sold out of the costume you want. I buy big enough to last a couple of years, and buy them cheaply after hallowe'en is over to put away for next year. sainsburys here reduced their £8 costumes down to £2 the week after hallowe'en, to make space for christmas stock.

This site has some reduced, dracula for £4.99 (free postage), and other ons, some are dearer in the £8-9 bracket, but some cheap witches etc
