Kaupthing and fixed interest

Hi, I have some of my cash savings with Kaupthing. Most of it is in their fixed term accounts. Ive just read on INGs website that "Those customers with deposits in a Fixed Term Savings product can be assured that these rates will be honoured by ING Direct.". I pressume they mean that if I have some cash in a 5 year fixed term account with Kaupthing, then this will continue earning the same rate of interest until maturity wiht ING? Do you think this applies if I put the rest of my kaupthing savings which arent in fixed term accounts into a fixed term account? If not, then do you think they'll honour the interest rate on this amount which is not fixed?

I spoke to ING yesterday, and that came up in conversation.
They will honour the rates, so I would presume if you put more into them, you'd get that rate.
Best to give them a ring to make sure.
Make a note of who you speak to etc, in case you need to refer, in the future, to what you've been told .

I read in another thread that ING are not currently letting you put more money into FTD's...can anyone confirm this please? I'd love to put more in cos it ain't gonna last long if they are allowing it! Merci.
