What Dell Laptop/Wireless Router do I Need

Can anyone help Looking to buy a laptop for xmas for my son.

He wants to surf the net download music/video go on MSN mesenger as well as do his studies (proberly in that order knowing him).

Was looking at Dell but confused to which would be the best.

Also are you allowed to buy through the small business section rather than the home section and what is the differeance.

Lastly what wireless router would I need as my broadband supplier is through NTL TV top box set.
Always leave a foot print where ever you go.

For the best advice on which are the "best" models, you could go here. It's a forum dedicated to the "Dell Outlet" and finding the "Bargains" that turn up occasionally. They know all about the various Dell products and are cheaper than buying direct from Dell themselves.

In brief, consumer rights. You forgo those when you purchase through the business section as things such as the Sales Of Goods Act applies only to consumers as opposed to businesses. You only save a small amount buying from dell using this method, so my advice would be buy through the home site or through one of the dealers on the outletbargains site.

I have a Linksys WRT54G wireless router which works fine with NTL and haven't had any problems with it. However, there are some that have. So you may wish to seek advice on this from this forum. It's linked to the NTHellWorld.co.uk site, which is a unofficial\official support site for NTL.

It could have been worse. At least source code's not combustible, or you can bet somebody at McAfee would have lit it.
