I tried to do a super bt today with my new virgin card and was told they will charge me even though it is in the promotional period.
I seem to remeber Martin getting some sort of statement about this from virgin but I can;t find it anywhere so could someone direct me to it please???
Not very happy as had plans to put the lot in my current account to offset my mortgage and deliberatley checked with virgin first to ensure they wouldn't charge me before applying for the card-apparently i was given the wriong information & on my account I incur a 2% charge-she couldn't tell me why though!0 -
Do you have an Egg card? Maybe you could BT to Egg with no fee, then SBT into your bank account.
If not, ring Virgin back and ask to speak to a supervisor and explain that you were told before applying you would be able to do a BT to your bank account with no charge.
They may use their discretion to allow you to do fee-free.I'm married now! Yippee!0 -
Thanks for that.
Applied for an Egg card today and checked first-definately no fee to do either ordinary or super balance transfer. Shame it's ony until June though
Tried to get Virgin to waive fee but they would'nt so will cancel card with them and try Mint instead to get a transfer and Save chq.0
