I'd never use a main dealer, no need to with The European Block Exemption Regulation. You could try www.prestigecarservicing.com next time and save some money. Hope you get a good outcome from your letter.0

I just checked the price for an oil service for my car on here to find they are charging £12 more than a BMW main dealer charged me recently ....Genie

Thtas why i asked the OP to name the dealer.
If I bought a rubbish product (like I have done with Virgin Atlantic), I would name them and let others make up their own mind0 -

Personally - re your grouch - I've only ever had fantastic experiences with Virgin Atlantic and I have been lucky enough to fly alot with them. Sorry you had a bad experience.Genie

You've not checked your screenwash in 8 weeks?
Are all your lights still working?0 -
I used to work in a head office for a group of car dealers - i'm not sure if I should name them or not - but I can recall a number of complaints coming in of similar situations - one car had been in for a service in a garage in Wales and within a short period of time the brake pads were on fire!! Believe me, if you cc the letter to the manufacturer and the local press you get a much more satisfactory response!:beer:Proudly paying as little as possible for stuff since birth:beer:0

Up to this week - I checked and toped ours up every other week, in that time the car has done upto 800 miles so it's a fair chance that it'd be low as the car lived on the motorway, takes a minute, screenwash & kettle.
Gone are the days of press -> no water -> "oh I forgot to mention that"
In 8 weeks, I'd expect the washer bottle to be empty, but then I'm used to cars with small bottles and no warning lights.0
