Nokia N95 8GB

Has anybody had any problems with their Nokia N95 8GB...if you have got one of course

Mine is three weeks old and for some reason I can be in the middle of using my phone and it just switches off! To get it to come back on I have to remove the battery...then put it back in the phone...then put the phone on charge....it's only when the battery bar comes on the display after 20 mins or so I can actually get the phone back on!

Any help please...
Work hard play hard......

    i have had no problems.
what u describe is not normal.

    as suggested take it back.
btw no phone should just turn its self off ;)

perhaps to save grief update the firmware and just check the battery is set properly
The orginal post in this thread has a very very slim chance of being about money saving. The post is more than likely to ask a question that google could answer better than any of us.
  • return it.
I've a couple mates who've had that phone since day one without any probs, you got a duffer there matey.

sounds about right for an N95... the software is flakier than a cadburys flake..

you can return it, and see if you get a better one, but the software is really buggy, and will keep turning off..

    Sounds like a faulty battery.

admittedly i never had the 8gb version, but did have a N95 when they first came out.. the software in them days was very buggy, and maybe didn't turn itself off, but did lock up, ala windows bsod...

maybe the newer software is better, but, i no longer have my N95.. the internal speaker decided to go, so the only way i could make calls, was to have it on speakerphone or a headset.. .not always ideal..

i eventually got my hands on a different phone.....

My 6500 Slide suffered a similar fate with the internal speaker pretty much straight away. After going on the forums, it was a common problem. After all the software issues with the N70's that I also had, it's the last Nokia I'll ever have. Their quality has gone down the pan.
