Do you need to reconfirm with Ryanair?

My son and his friend bought a cheap ticket with Ryanair when they were on sale. It says they have to reconfirm, does anybody know whether they have to and is this standard on their website. Thanks

If it says they have to reconfirm then reconfirm! Better safe than sorry - if you dont do it, then Ryanair will have ammunition against them should they need to bump them off the flight!
From the website:
How can I reconfirm my flights? < BACK
Flight reservations can be viewed and reconfirmed online by accessing the Review/Change Flight section of https://www.ryanair.com. To reconfirm your flight you will need to provide your booking reference and the Credit/Debit or ELV payment details used to reserve your flights.
Passengers who book well in advance should reconfirm their outward/return flight timings between 24 and 72 hours prior to departure.0 -
it's more to get you to check that your flight times haven't changed, I don't think it's actually reconfirming anything with Ryanair0
