PMed you for new plan when done, no rush I expect it next year.

Where are you getting wood for the raised beds?

I've made a note of your user name and will pm you when I've done it.

I buy the slab wood from a timber yard it's 42p for a 6ft length which is approx 24cm in width and they look really nice, really rustic. Fountain Timber in Bristol http://www.fountaintimber.co.uk/index.php?doc=81 .It's not listed online but I found an image from someone selling them http://home-improvement-tools.vivastreet.co.uk/garden-tools-hardware+biggar/slabwood-bundles-for-sale-/10422939/p#1So not the best image but you can see they are rustic looking and cheap so far I've made 3 beds.

So far another three plot holders have gone to get some. I have got my Dad to cut 2ft off some of them to make the ends of the bed and I'm going to either use them to edge the planting area at the front of the plot or use as edging down the side of the polytunnel.
    Kind Regards
    Maz

Just wanted to say Hi Maz and say how helpful your plans were last year and gave me some good ideas. Learnt alot this year and hope to get more produce grown next. Although still harvesting toms and peppers/chillis from the gh and have 4 pumkins sat drying out.
The best thing I have learnt this year is how sunny and sheltered our back garden is, it was only when I took notice of how the sun moves around the house that I realised all but a very small spot in one corned gets some sun everyday. Some spots I thought were shady, actually get sun early in the morning and in the evening. Had lots of lettuce going to seed to prove this :o.

Still pulling beetroot and carrots from the ground and so far although some mild ground frost at the front the back is untouched (although quite wet).

Would love a copy of your new plan as we are in beds ourselves so will PM you.

Finally, after my sad posting at easter when I lost a baby I am currently nearly 12 wks with new little one. So looks like I will be a mum of 4 as well after all :j.

Good news is been V.sick and feel horrid now. When I lost the baby I hadn't been nearly as sick and jad felt better from wk 9 or so. With my DS,DD1 and DD2 was sick as a dog up to about 20 wks.
