hi
looking for help again please
my daughter applied for carers allowance , she recieved a letter saying she was entitled to it , as shes on income support she will be £27 a week better off and it said you are entitled to ca from the 30th june, but then got another letter saying you will be paid from 6th nov , will she get back pay from june
just a bit conffused with it saying june,,then nov
thankyou in advance for any advice

Yes she will get the backpay. They can't pay her straight away because she gets IS. They write to her IS office for a figure of how much has been paid to her once they get that they take off that amount and give her the difference. Basicly she will get the amount of the carers premium paid in a lump sum by the CA people on that date in Nov as long as IS get back to them in time. I just started getting my CA this week but IS have not got its finger out and let the CA the amount of arrears so i have not got that yet. You just have to wait.0
