Discoloured UPVC Windows and Doors

Help, what can I use to get my window frames and doors nice and bright again?

They are looking a bit grey and streaky where the guttering is leaking and dripping onto them.

Thanks

  • You can get special upvc cleaner, but I'd probably use a flash liquid type solution or sugar soap depending on how bad it was, sugar soap would need washing off again afterwards though.
  • The stuff they sell in the DIY sheds isn't much cop to be honest.
    Do an internet search; the cleaner is more effective as it's the stuff the professionals use and it's a lot cheaper.
  • depending on were you are in the country try these cream cleaner from http://gap.uk.com/
    if you think peoples advice is helpfull please take the time to clicking the thank you button it gives great satisfaction
  • if you follow the link A6 has given you can find a couple of different products;

    cream cleaner for a good well over due polish or the frame cleaner if your windows are not that old.

    A good product is Thompson's UPVC Restorer. It not only cleans but whitens as well and is really quick to use, just wipe it on and wipe it off. Should be available at B&Q.

    Thats brilliant !

    Thanks for all your help! I'm going to try Stardrops first as it's cheaper, but if that doesn't work I will try the Thompson's !

    Thanks again

    As long as you don't mind losing the shiny surface on your uPVC.
