Hiya,
normally i aviod pay deposit prizes, must have missed the t's and c's first time.
thing is this is a nice prize. what to do??
A lady phoned me (with a londoner accent btw) saying she was from skyline studios... so i say something politely to the effect of " i'm not interested in buying roof windows" LOL
sounded real and genuine, until the mention of 45 pounds refundable deposit. so i'm here asking, have any of you ever won via plum offers? is it safe to give them a "deposit, will i ever see my money again??
i sceptically login to plum offers after, and see everything this lady has said to me written on plums site, after a little searching...
comp terms http://www.plumprizes.com/newsletters/terms/ad_id/456
comp iteself is found here its the first "sponsored" comp http://www.plumprizes.com/sponsoredprizes
it was phoned from an 0208 number, anyone know where i can find a reverse phone lookup? you put in the number, it shows you what buisness called you?? not used one for years, cant remember the site addy!!

I think it is one of those makeover things where they end up trying to flog you the photos at the end, hope you get a better WTC soon!0

My friend did this recently. Not as a comp win, but for some reason she contacted Skyline studios direct. Anyway, even for her (having not won) she didn't pay anything for the makeover and photoshoot but was then persuaded to buy all the photos - and she won't tell me how much she paid, but I know it was a lot. The thing is, the pictures are nice enough, but her boyfriend is a great photographer and could have taken some just as nice for free.0

Isn't Plum Offers on the list of sites to avoid? I would avoid like the plaque, a better win will come along soon don't worry x2025 - finally back comping after a stressful house move - send me fairy dust please!

Thanks guys.
I googled company names skyline, skylitestudios , skylight etc etc and the telephone number i was called from 02089816254 and got a few interesting results.
Am hoping that by posting this will help someone else AVOID them. So glad i never never give out bank details like that. a few of the things i read were shocking. google "studio64" and it shows details of a scam, and this is identical in many ways. It might be a real company, and yeah they take photos but its all an elaborate fix to force you out of approx £1000 per person, based on what i googled.
Trying not to be slanderous, so i'm mindful of this when i say avoid SIMILAR offers ok. :P
i rang them back said a polite but very firm get lost, i know you're game. I got a snappy responce, "i wouldn't give it to you now anyway!!" and if it was for real, i'd rather lose a "gift day out" than risk 45pounds or thousands later!! And yes, google has been wrong before, but i googled and yahoo'd
make your own minds up.....
Be wary guys xxJulie0 -

Well to be strictly fair Studio 64 is not a scam. It's quite a fun day out (although New ID is better as you get a very posh West End haircut)
As for the photos, just negotiate, we got the lot on a disc for a price that I did not consider unreasonable with a mix and match of 4 of us.
For a girls treat, its a fun thing to do, as long as you don't intend to spend a fortune and make that clear.
A huge thank you to all who post the comps and deals that make life so much fun!0
