Well, what a wonderful wedding. Best day out of the last 7, wonderful location, good food , good company, what more could you ask for ? answer....1 very emotional bride, 1 nearly very emotional father, and a bride who arranged all from start to finish just how she wanted it.
Exactly how it should be!! My dad actually dared to tell my mum yesterday that she's "the mother of the bride and can do what she likes, it's her day"!!!! I don't know how I didn't go bridezilla on his !!!!!!;)

Me three. I was devastated last night when I went on to catch up. DF was going mental on my behalf. :(kass posted on my FB wall that I had to be able to finish my countdown, bless her! :A

Hey, Paw I hope the Zipster hasn't been scared off the board. She's not been in evidence today, I hope it's just bacause she's busy with preparations.
Well, as have posted on [STRIKE]ridiculous[/STRIKE] new board, I a) couldn't even find the new board for a coupla days, and b) was really upset.
I feel like what happened is my fault too tbh, as surely they can only really be referring to my wedding-esque posts?? But I had loads of people on the thread, and PMs from lurkers, telling me that they were enjoying going along with the planning with me and I really feel that it is on topic, as my conditions affect everything I do?? It put me off coming on MSE at all tbh, but I figured I should at least come back to make my feelings on the matter known? (sorry to Crocks Cafe regulars for highjacking a bit there :silenced:)

Morag pointed me in this direction so I thought I'd see what the crack was, and then saw blackpaw and LW.

For anyone that wants to know (:o) all the labels to personalise the lovehearts, bottles of bubbles and wine bottles for groomsmen gifts have now been applied and the Order of Services assembled. My nephews personalised keyfob arrived today and dad's Father of the Bride personalised hanky arrived on the weekend. My garter has apparently been dispatched today...

Sorry again if I'm highjacking, or stepping on anyones toes, or generally talking "off topic":o

lw, paw, bz add me to the list, though i have made my feelings rather clear. i think you guys summed up the it up a lot better than me though, i really cant see how it was not on topic enough to have a daily chat thread in disability and dosh, which is what i asked for and initially soolin was fine about it then suddenly wasnt. i suspect some of the new posters there are because the title has changed.

bz, i know you wont have time to answer lots of individual pms etc so i wont pm until after honeymoon, but i am interested and shall miss your daily updates terribly. glad everything has come safe and sound, one more thing less for us to worry about. only 4 days to go. and i strongly suspect a lot of the complaints about off topic stuff were me posting about whitney, which has nothing to do with pain but does muck my mood up big time, as those of you who read between the lines noted throughout...so dont think it was your fault.

morag thanks for the pointer to here, good luck with getting them settled in together. i hope they adapt quickly. my first cat was inherited too, by my mother when i was two, whitney cat i got in 1986 and she moved form belfast to england with me 11 years ago when i stole her of my parents in my 2nd year at uni. she is having health issues atm, and younger cat has decided to learn to hunt this year.

lw hope today turns out to be less stressful than expected, the workman doesnt interfere with your space too much and the vampires find their goal on the first try. everyone laughed at me at work, id happily give injections or assist with blood tests but point that needle anywhere near me and i had to be pinned down.

    cappuchino anyone?

In case anyone is wondering (and hi to the new members!), this is a cafe so how can there be any off-topic conversations , now then sounds like everything is going reasonably well with bigzippy (but Dragon hands over a large glass of wine as it looks as though it is needed).

Meanwhile the Tobiness is settling well at Chateaux Dragon, except that Dr Dragon was back at work today and he is lying there looking at the back door (open so he can *cough* head outside!) - I think it is going to be a long day for the little pup (10 hours is a lifetime at 15 weeks old!)

As I am here at breakfast and it is cool today I think Full English (Veggie options available!), large mugs of tea/coffee/hot choc and lunch will be decided in due course :D
Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup :D

Morning all i thought i'd pop in this morning..

can i order a large greasy brekkie and a big mug o tea.

BZ i love the sound of the personalized hankie sounds lovely, and something dad can remember for years to come :)

made a silly mistake of sitting down on the sofa to watch (purly for the entertainment) Jeremy Chav yesterday afternoon.... and woke up about 7pm, which although did me good, i couldn't sleep last night when i should of done, so sat up half the night reading.. although i've read the book before Shadows of the workhouse, if you like that then call the midwife is a good one too... just all about life in the east end at the turn of the century and the war etc... although now i see another book in the series i want now :D

one thing i do love is getting stuck into a good book.
Do we have a book club in this cafe (are we allowed)

well better go get dressed, mmmm that brekkie did me good. see you all later
Life is about give and take, if you can't give why should you take?

I don't get it either pcl, I don't see what was wrong with having something like this board for the people that have fibro??

I can certainly try tho hun :) As I said on Paparika's Pad, I shall endeavour to get some pics of the personalised stuff for ya ;) You may have a point about the cat discussions, but then you weren't the only one with cat/pet stories so I wouldn't worry about it too much... I think the reading through the lines thing is very important, and tbh, I highly doubt that a moderator who suffered a chronic condition would've reacted the same way

Good point Dragon, lets hope it stays that way. Would any of the (intruded upon) members like introductions? Thanks very much for the vino! Maybe you have something stronger in the back of the cupboard there...?;)

Hi Dragon, Morag. Hope you don't mind us busting through the door and making loads of noise!!:D

Awww thanks paw :A I know exactly what you mean, it all just seemed to get outta hand, very quickly! Leaving us all in a state of shock.

Well, seeing as this is a cafe and it should be safe to discuss:rolleyes:, I shall giv e asmall wedding update ;)
    Today I am endeavouring to:
    • stapling the guest book canvas to the frame
    • box up order of services (without knocking the butterflies off!)
    • glue butterflies onto headbands for bridesmaids
    • stick last label on bubbles bottle
    • pay caterers for drinks order
    • make up and print the camera challenge
    • set up the vases
Plus I think t'other B2B (for anyone not in the know there's a friend getting wed the day before me at the same church!) is coming over to run her fishbowls through the dishwasher here at some point...as well as scrag some card off me for her table seating plan (which she's still not done!!)
