Bolt sizes explained

Am looking to purchase some coach bolts, to fit 12mm hole and length of 120mm.

Looking on websites, are M12's made for 12mm holes and M10's for 10mm holes?

Don't want to order the wrong ones.

M12 are 12mm in diameter. M10 10mm diameter etc.

Thanks, was going to call into B & Q later to see. These are screws and i need bolts. Looks quite expensive but will check it out anyway as i will be passing. At least i know its M12's i am looking for.

Not sure on what you wish to use it for but you may find threaded rod an alternative, cut it to size and nut and washer it at either end. usually 1M lengths and various diameters.
