Alternative to Ebay???

Hi I have quite a few things to sell especially kids stuff like pram, cotbed... that my daughter has now outgrown and I was going to put it all on Ebay however I was wondering if there is an alternative to Ebay on the net.
I know that in France for example, they have this website where people post the things they want to sell with a fixed price and their phone number and whoever is interested call them and they make a transaction. It's a free service. I know that you can put a classified ad in the paper but you have to pay for this.
Would anybody know if something like that exist here.
I'm also going to do a boot sale but was wondering if such a site exist.
Thanks

I'll definately will put my stuff for sale on one of these.
Thanks0 -
Loads listed at https://www.ebay-alternatives.co.uk - none will have the same traffic as eBay though, so don't expect top dollar prices or quick sales.<--- Nothing to see here - move along --->0

I feel I should add my usual warning. if you had to come here and ask what alternatives to ebay there were then you have already indicated that you will have a problem with using a lesser known site.
If you could really only think of ebay, then so can the majority of people likely to buy your items. Gumtree has sites for most major cities and large towns, it can be useful for local pick up items.
I agree with soolin that it's not too well known outside of London but as it is free, it's worth a try.
Also some other sites feature the ads when you google!
There's also "preloved"0 -
We have a local (shop) type place, you take childrens clothes, maternity clothes etc and they sell them for you, you get 60% of sale price they keep 40% if it doesnt sell it goes to charity, quite good for taking asda/tesco/high street type clothes but I'd still use ebay etc for the more expensive type clothes (GAP, Next, Monsoon) etc as they usually sell for quite good prices on there. Hope this is of some help???Personal Loan: £11,488 3.7% Credit card: £5,946 0% Total = £17,4340
