What are my rights concerning duff Hoover?

Last month, our Dyson finally packed up and we investigated on internet for a replacement.

We haven't really got Dyson money what with Xmas and everything so chose a light weight upright hoover that cost £95 from the "Hoover" site.

A month later and its just not doing its job i.e picking anything up.

What are my rights?

Can I demand a refund or when I ring up to register the fact Im not happy with it are they likely to tell me to return it?

(Of course I no longer have the packaging........who really keeps these things?)

Any advice would be appreciated......ta.

If it`s not picking anything up it is more than likely a blockage. It`s highly unlikely even a Hoover vacuum would go faulty after a month.
